Antheraea compta is the only member of Telea reported from this restricted part of Oriental region. 2) Antheraea (Telea) compta are rare in collections worldwide. They fly at upland mid-altitudes (ca. 1000–2500 m) in the height of summer, basically June-July. Species is considered to be a strictly univoltine. 3) Most of the Himalayan records and records in addition to those of specified by Liu (2023) require further investigation.
