= Heringijana Bryk, 1944: 222 (TS: Eupterote citheronia Bryk, 1944: 29, by original designation. Heringijana is an objective replacement name of Drepanojana Bryk, 1944: 29)
Eupterote gardneri Bryk, 1950
New Forest (Dehra Dun), U.P. [now in Uttarakhand, India]
=Eupterote bifasciata Kishida, 1994: 65 (TL. [Nepal] Kosi, Chittrei)
Considering the pronounced sexual dimorphism characteristic of the genus, Dreata lineata (Walker, 1855: 907) described based on the monotypic female from northern India likely represents gardneri, if confirmed, Dreata lineata Walker, 1855 would have nomenclatural priority over gardneri Bryk, 1950. Nevertheless, further study is required to resolve this issue definitively (Zolotuhin 2018).
