There is no objective replacement name, but P. exclamationis is congeneric with Noctua segetum [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, the type species of Agrotis Ochsenheimer, 1816. The latter is therefore available for use as the subjective replacement name.
= Psammophila Stephens, 1850: 72 (TS: Noctua ripae Hübner, [1823]: pl. 151). Psammophila Stephens is a junior homonym of Psammophila Brown, 1827: pl. 12 (Mollusca). There is no objective replacement name but N. ripae is congeneric wdth Noctua segetum [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, the type species of Agrotis Ochsenheimer, 1816. The latter is therefore available for use as the subjective replacement name.
