Pre-dispersal seed predation of bayberry, Myrica rubra on Yakushima Island, Japan. It attacks the fruits during the primary stage of fruit development and feeds on the seeds of M. rubra. It was earlier known to be a foliage feeder (leaf miner), but then reported as a seed predator of the bayberry (Fujita et al. 2009).
