Remarks
In Israel, the empty galls on Tamarix sp. were found to be inhabited by the ant species, Cardiocondyla wroughtoni (Forel) (Formicidae: Hymenoptera) (Kugler 1983) whereas both in Israel and Pakistan, a chalcidid parasitoid, Hockeria tamaricis (Chalcididae: Hymenoptera) emerged from galls (Bouček 1982).
