<i>Lophoptera denticulata brunneostriata</i> Holloway, 1976 is described from Malaysia. The original <i>L. denticulata</i> was described from British ruled India in which (Burma [Myanmar]) was considered part of Indian territory. Thus, the presence of this species from India needs further confirmation.
